Thor knows Steve will probably like her since they’ve already met but he worries about Tony and Clint. He doesn’t know them too well. And Natasha…don’t Earth girls get violent when they have to work together? He can at least stand by her side. It seemed like everyone else had someone to protect and fight beside and Thor had originally hoped that him and Loki could reconcile as brothers and be teammates but Jennifer was even better. He, well, he didn’t imagine or think about Loki the way he thought about Jennifer.
"I’m glad you wanted to meet." Thor smiles and if she hadn’t asked then he might have just wasted his time looking for Loki and Fenrir. He felt a little guilty about not doing that but he justified his guilt by convincing himself he was working for the Avengers and finding a new teammate and…sometimes it didn’t hurt to do things that made him happy. And Jennifer makes him happy. It feels nice to be able to smile like this again. He presses the button he remembers his apartment is on and braces himself as the elevator starts moving. “I’m never going to get used to these things…"
"Oh. Sorry, did you want to go to my apartment or find one of the other Avengers?" Lady’s choice.
Jennifer was so excited. The dreams she had for almost a year now, were finally coming true. True, she was a little nervous but she wasn’t going to let that get in the way of anything. All she had to do was remind herself that she was the fierce and mighty She-Hulk. Being all that She-Hulk was came in handy whenever she had to help Bruce or protect herself, hopefully it would also be enough to join the Avengers.
"I’m glad you didn’t stand me up." Jennifer smiled back. After all the months of being this wild party girl, she was empty and lonely. That wasn’t the kind of life she wanted. Meeting Thor was the best decision she has made this year and maybe it would finally end the long list of best decisions she’s made up to this point. "Oh, the elevator? You don’t have this on Asgard do you?"
"Um, how about yours first?"
